Day 1 USA-Brazil: Departure from Miami or New York via overnight flight to Sao Paulo. 

Day 2 Sao Paulo – Florianopolis: Arrival in Sao Paulo for flight connection to Florianopolis. Upon arrival in Florianopolis transfer to Costao do Santinho , the number one beach resort in Brazil. Meals: B,L,D. 

Day 3 Florianópolis: Morning free. In the afternoon we go downtown for a historical city tour with English-speaking guide, on our way back a visit to the most beautiful beaches of the island, including the Lagoon of the Immaculate Conception. Meals: B, D. 

Day 4 Florianópolis: After breakfast, we leave for a tour to the southern beaches. As we drive across the island of Santa Catarina, we visit the Morro das Pedras, Armação, Pântano do Sul and Ribeirão da Ilha beaches. The first European community on the island was established on this last location, and is an outstanding site of cultural history. Traces of the 18th-century colonists’ origins in the Azores are preserved in the local architecture. Visit an oyster farm and a “cachaça” store (sugar cane brandy store). Meals: B, D. 

Day 5 Florianópolis - Balneário Camboriú: In the morning, you depart for Balneário Camboriú. Upon arrival, you will visit the Parque Unipraias Camboriú, one of the largest investments in tourism and ecology infrastructure in Brazil. From the Barra do Sul cable-car station down on the beach, the cableway runs for 10,500 feet (3,250 meters) over deep, blue ocean and lush, green forests. There’s a stop at the Mata Atlântica station in the heart of the rainforest and then the ride resumes back down to the Laranjeiras Station on another beach. In the afternoon, check in and enjoy the Recanto das Águas Resort Hotel. Meals: B, D. 

Day 6 Blumenau: Free morning. After lunch, we leave for Blumenau. Upon arrival, a stroll down the main street, Rua XV de Novembro, to enjoy tourist attractions as the “enxaimel” and “art deco” architecture. Highlights are the old Town Hall, built in 1875, the German-style Castelinho, the Carlos Gomes theatre, the Monumento dos Imigrantes and the Casarão dos Cristais (a wholesale crystal glass store open to the public). Next, we go to the Vila Germânica Park, where the second largest beer festival in the world is held. The party starts at 8:00 pm with typical German bands and food. Join in the fun with a world of cheerful people. Meals: B. 

Day 7 Marejada Festival: Free day at the Resort. In the evening, we leave for Itajaí to experience the Marejada, a magnificent Azorean food and popular Brazilian music festival. The Marejada is regarded as one of the most colorful October festivals in Santa Catarina. Meals: B. 

Day 8/9 Camboriu – Florianopolis - USA: Transfer to the Florianopolis airport in time for your return overnight flight via Sao Paulo to Miami or New York. Meals: B.

Costao Do Santinho
